YEA! I've wanted to see Mesa Verde forever. Today is Mesa Verde Day. We begin with a continental breakfast. Our trip will include a side visit to Four Corners and a view of Shiprock.
A lot of the drive is through the Navajo reservation. One thing gaming appears to have done for the Navajo is build a fantastic school and community center. I'm not sure it's done anything else.
Four Corners is on the reservation and we pay to see it. It's a little monument surrounded tourist-trap trinket shacks and porta-potties. While Fodor's says there isn't much of a view, I must disagree. (Pictures 1 and 2)
