A cup of tea while watching it hail, and I'm refreshed.
We drive down Canyon Road to get dinner reservations at Geronimo. Done. By the way, if anyone will purchase the cookbook for me, I'll cook you dinner. Or, if you want to pay my tuition at the Santa Fe School of Cooking, I'll feed you for life.
We go to the State Capital. If we are ever at or near one, we go. So far, Trenton NJ wins the "Wow, why is the state captial in the middle of this slum" Award. New Mexico's is much nicer. Picture 1
Then, to what is believed to be the oldest structure in North America. Picture 2.
We find a super independent bookstore, Collected Works. Andrew makes purchases here.
We rest up for dinner. Our reservations are quite late, so we get drinks at the hotel.
Dinner was totally worth it. Our table is on the patio by the door, but the food and wine take my attention elsewhere. I'll refer you to My Severed Cortex for the menu. Again, anyone who buys the cookbook gets dinner. Picture 3.
Champagne awaits, but it's not good, especially compared to dinner. No matter.
